The ISF Marlins Test of Spoken English gains accreditation from the UK MCA. The TOSE can now be used in place of the company interview for those seafarers wishing to prove competency in spoken English when applying for CECs.

Training

Training in the Test of Spoken English was carried out at SBI Jakarta, together with a workshop in cross-cultural training and ELT methodology for trainers of employees of passenger vessels.

Marlins delivers training in the use of the Test of Spoken English to a group of administrators / oral assessors on behalf of VShips, Ukraine. The 4 day course provided information to crew coordinators and practice for the assessors in carrying out the test with seafarers and grading speaking abilities to achieve a standard result.
